Set on the banks of the São Lourenço River in the wild heart of the Pantanal, Port of the Capybara offers a comfortable and intimate base for jaguar watching.

The Port of the Capybara Lodge is an idyllic base for a more intimate jaguar and giant otter watching experience in the Northern Pantanal. Being based in a remote location away from the crowds so often associated with the Porto Jofre area and Flotel, it is both secluded, yet accessible. There are seven air-conditioned guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, and a lounge and dining area to relax in after excursions.

With its location on the banks of the wildlife rich São Lourenço River, there is an abundance of wildlife right on the doorstep. The other highlight of a stay here is the excellent potential for finding jaguars on an exclusive basis before reaching the busier, but jaguar rich Cuiaba and Three Brothers Rivers.
