Sable Valley is a family run, eco-friendly safari lodge with a passionate team and delicious food. It sits within its own wildlife rich private concession bordering Hwange National Park, placing it in the heart of the wildlife action.

This homely lodge consists of 16 thatched African rondavels that are traditional yet charming, and comfortable, creating a blend of authentic culture and comfort. The rooms are open plan, spacious and naturally cool.

With views of the Dete Vlei ancient riverbed, guests have a chance to spot wildlife such as elephants, buffalo and the rare sable antelope, even from the comfort of Sable Valley’s main area. The main area consists of a large pool, a campfire and open plan dining room and bar.

Activities include game drives, walking safaris and a visit to the Painted Dog Conservation Centre, between which you can relax by the pool or make use of a private underground eye-level wildlife hide, which is not to be missed. Another highlight is the star bed that offers an unforgettable sleep out or the perfect spot for sundowners.
