Located a short distance from Victoria Falls, the unique Stanley Safari Lodge enjoys a tranquil setting, with views of the falls in the distance, the Zambezi River and magical sunsets.
Each of its ten rooms is unique, individually designed and with a fabulous view. The four suites have a private plunge pool with deck or terrace, lounge area, bedroom and bathroom with bath and separate shower. The Honeymoon and Family Suites are open-sided, so you can savour the sights and sounds of the African bush, whereas the Livingstone and Stanley Suites are enclosed, with elegant colonial-style interiors that evoke the era of their namesakes. A further six cottages are built from natural materials; one is enclosed, whereas the others are open structures; all have a bath and shower, as well as a deck or terrace with splendid views of the Zambezi Valley.
The range of activities around Livingstone - all of which involve to some degree either Victoria Falls or the Zambezi River - is huge. You can see the falls from across the gorge or from Livingstone Island, or take a helicopter flight for an aerial view. The river offers sunset cruises, river safaris, canoe trips or, for the adventurous, one of the world's best whitewater rafting trips. Nearby, Zambia's Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Chobe National Park in Botswana or Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe all offer excellent wildlife.
