This modern conversion of an historic building sits on the towpath of the Lancaster Canal, less than half an hour from the M6, with the town of Lancaster a short drive to the north.

The Mill’s onsite restaurant uses local, seasonal ingredients such as shrimps from Morecambe Bay, and serves traditional Lancashire recipes with a modern touch, all washed down with ales from the local Bowland Brewery. On warm days it’s possible to dine outside by the canal, or in the garden amongst nature – look out for herons and swans. After a night in one of The Mill’s comfortable, tastefully appointed rooms, come down to a traditional Lancashire or continental breakfast.
