Overlooking its own private conservancy, with views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Tortilis is an elegent luxury camp, offering guests a more secluded experience of Amboseli.
Named after the local tree, the camp has 17 exceptionally large tents with a king size bed and an elegant en suite bathroom with hot shower and flushing toilet. The tents are raised on wooden decking, and have a thatched roof over the top, extending to a large private verandah where you can sit and relax. There is also a family tent and a private house, each with two bedrooms and a spacious verandah.
The camp has a main lounge, bar and dining area, all exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs, with a magnificent view of Kilimanjaro.
Activities include game drives, Masai guided walks or simply lazing by the camp swimming pool and watching the fantastic bird-life. The perfect days at Tortilis end with hilltop sundowners overlooking the vast plains below, followed by the camp's delicious cuisine.
