Discover this full-service expedition camp in the stunning Ellsworth Mountains. Open November to January, it offers guided wildlife expeditions to see emperor penguins and a comfortable, environmentally responsible retreat in the vast Antarctic wilderness.
Located on Union Glacier, this exclusive camp accommodates up to 70 guests in twin-occupancy clam tents. Built to endure the extreme polar conditions, these double-walled tents feature high-tech nylon covers and sturdy aluminium frames. Inside, guests will find camp beds, mattresses, pillows, linens and towels.
Dining is a communal experience in the central dining tent, where chefs prepare freshly cooked meals, homemade baked goods, and delicious desserts. Ingredients, including fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses, are regularly flown in from Chile and buffet-style meals cater to different dietary needs.
The camp provides shared shower and toilet facilities, designed to balance guest comfort with environmental sustainability.
Union Glacier Camp serves as a gateway to incredible Antarctic adventures, from guided excursions to private expeditions. It's also the starting point for unforgettable wildlife experiences, including a guided expedition to see a remote emperor penguin colony in Gould Bay.
With its stunning mountain backdrop, this camp offers a blend of comfort and exploration in one of the most remote places on Earth.
