Wildlife Worldwide Photography Competition Winners 2021
After receiving an incredible array of entries we are excited to announce the winners of our Wildlife Photography Competition 2021.
We would like all of those who took the time to enter. Our panel of judges once again had the tough time job of picking the winners. We had three categories – Wildlife Portraits, Animal Action and Wildlife Portfolio. From one of those category winners, we picked the overall winner.
The overall winner of our Wildlife Photography Competition 2021 is Andy Richardson with his wonderful wintry image of a Japanese macaque, Andy is also the winner of our Animal Action category.
The winner of the Wildlife Portraits category is Ashley Pead with his wonderful image of a short-eared owl photographed here in the UK, while Helen Pinchin is the deserved winner of our Wildlife Portfolio.
Our Sponsors
A big thank you to our sponsors: Rohan and Opticron. Without their continued support, we wouldn’t be able to offer such fantastic prizes for our deserved winners.
Overall Winner & Animal Action Winner – Andy Richardson
A deserved winner, Andy has captured a beautiful moment. It's rare to see a Japanese macaque leaping across a river, yet alone with a baby on its back and covered by snow and ice. It's an incredible capture, freezing the action and it’s perfectly exposed too. Congratulations to Andy once more.
Wildlife Portraits Winner – Ashley Pead
Ashley has captured a quintessential portrait. The short-eared owl may be a familiar species to many, but to capture such an intimate shot of this bird of prey makes this a worthy winner. The judges loved the intensity of its gaze and the lovely soft lighting.
Wildlife Portfolio Winner – Helen Pinchin
The winner of our Wildlife Portfolio category is this stunning collection of images from Kenya’s Masai Mara. Helen has wonderfully captured the majesty of the Mara ecosystem and the wildlife that calls it home. The judges were particularly impressed with the mix of portraits and action shots too. Fantastic work Helen.
