István Bártol

Since completing a PhD in bird ecology, István has worked as a warden in the Kiskunság National Park where he lives on the fringes in a small village with his family.

A native Hungarian, István has guided wildlife tours in several European countries including Montenegro, Albania, Croatia and his home country as well. In addition to this, he has broadened his experience by visiting Poland and Romania as well. István’s extensive travels and guiding experience has allowed him to learn multiple languages and he is able to speak English, Spanish and Serbian. He also has a passion for wildlife and nature photography which makes him ideally suited for co-leading our bird photography tour in Hungary.
