Marta Świtała

Marta is an ornithologist and naturalist, not only by education but also by passion. When she’s not working or guiding, you'll still find her out in the field in her free time enjoying the natural world.

Initially, Marta worked as an ornithologist for the national park service in Poland. Now, she's a field biologist, monitoring bird populations for assessments that help companies to minimise their environmental impact, and for scientific research and wildlife conservation projects, such as those for the Polish Academy of Sciences.

She has a deep love for nature, especially Poland’s landscapes, with Białowieża Forest holding a particularly special place in her heart. In her spare time, Marta enjoys reading and wildlife watching with her family, including her dog named Kornik (which is Polish for “bark beetle”).
