Max Vindas

Max has been an avid birder since childhood, refining his skills and knowledge during his bachelor’s degree in Administration and Management of Natural Resources. Max can easily identify species of flora and fauna in pretty much any corner of Costa Rica, and he fills his trips with knowledge about natural history and the tropics, sharing anecdotes of his best moments guiding.

In addition to Costa Rica, Max has led birdwatching trips in Central America and Brazil. He finds the time to complement his career as a guide with his teaching skills, working as a lecturer for many Costa Rican institutions, making him an excellent guide to learn from. Max is a keen advocate for conservation, and has published many articles in Costa Rica and Brazil on the development of sustainable tourism.

As an experienced birdwatcher, Max finds that his biggest strength is his impeccable hearing skills, which allow him to find and identify bird species from afar. Max fills his tours with knowledge, awareness and passion from beginning to end.
