Tihomir Stefanov

Tihomir is an experienced naturalist guide, where he passes on his knowledge of Bulgaria's wildlife and shares his passion for nature to those he accompanies.

Born in Sofia, Tihomir has had a lifelong passion for the natural world. After studying biology at university during the 1990s, he began studies in ornithology and nature conservation in the 2000s, which led him to working at Bulgaria's National Museum of Natural History where he continues to work to this day. Tihomir has been involved in a number of research projects, including surveys on corncrake, red-breasted goose, pygmy cormorant and ferruginous duck. In addition, he has also prepared management plans for some of Bulgaria's national parks.
