Veparurwa “Benjamin” Ndjavera

Born and raised in the north-east of the Okavango Delta, Veparurwa “Benjamin” Ndjavera spent a lot of time with his family's livestock and gradually became more and more interested in nature, finding particular joy in animal tracking and bird watching.

Shortly after completing school, he trained to become a qualified safari guide. Veparurwa left the delta and moved to Samedupi, just south of Maun, Botswana, where he lives with his wife and four kids. During his time guiding since 1998, he has become highly experienced in both walking and vehicle based guiding. His particular expertise is mobile safaris, and he loves the variety of landscapes that this type of safari can bring.

Elephants are his most loved animal due to their size, intelligence, and amazing ability to disappear in seconds. He cannot pick a favourite bird, but raptors interest him immensely with their keen eyesight and hunting methods!
