The small exclusive Olkirimatian Conservancy is around 25,000 hectares in size. With its collection of photography hides and a private lodge, this is among the finest wildlife photography destinations in Kenya.
Olkirimatian Conservancy is situated on Kenya's southern border with Tanzania, in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. The conservancy is around 25,000 hectares in size and plays host to a staggering variety of species. The habitat comprises a mix of ancient forest on the slopes of the escarpment, rocky outcrops and a dry open plain which supports grassland and scrub. Here and within the neighbouring Shompole Conservancy (60,000 hectares), you are but a stone's throw away from the shores of the soda lakes Natron and Magadi.
This vast protected area is home to many of Africa's iconic species of mammal and over 350 species of bird. With only one lodge, there's absolute exclusivity as you enjoy game drives, hide photography sessions and even helicopter flights in this wilderness area.
