The Falkland Islands are perhaps one of the world’s best kept secrets with an exceptional reputation for incredible wildlife including five species of penguin, elephant seals, sea lions and fur seals.

Wildlife sightings here are outstanding, with large breeding colonies of southern elephant seal and five species of penguin possible. Gigantic colonies of black-browed albatross, cormorants and other seabirds adorn the spectacular coastline, and the main islands offer interesting culture and a notable recent history.

Not only is there magnificent wildlife to be had onshore, but the whale watching is also spectacular and may include orca, blue, fin and humpback whales, as well as Commerson’s and Peale’s dolphins.
