Welgevonden Game Reserve lies on South Africa's Waterberg plateau, and has the largest population of white rhino to be found in all of Africa.

With a decent size of 37,500 hectares, in mountain bushveld surrounding by rivers, this private reserve has never been used for game hunting, so the wildlife is more relaxed and approachable.

No private vehicles are allowed within the reserve, to limit the human impact. The high altitude and temperate climate, plus its malaria free status, make it an ideal destination to be visited all year around.
