The MS Stockholm is a 12-berth small ship, having been converted into a dedicated polar cruising vessel. It is an ideal choice for dedicated photography expeditions and allows unrivalled flexibility in the Arctic.
One of the great small expedition ships, MS Stockholm is the ideal vessel for a dedicated photography charter in the Svalbard Archipelago. The ship is ice-strengthened and provides the perfect platform to explore the fjords and open waters around the island of Spitsbergen, allowing us to launch Zodiacs as and when safe for the very best photographic and viewing opportunities.
The vessel was constructed in 1953 for the Swedish Maritime Administration before being converted to a passenger-carrying expedition ship in 1998. She carries a maximum of 12 passengers in six characterful cabins, which are all en suite and have a porthole. Stockholm is crewed by an expert team who have a wealth of experience in the Arctic waters around Svalbard. Full of character and historic charm, this is the perfect choice for a small group charter in the Arctic.
