New Ireland – Kavieng

Kavieng is known for its ancient Malagan culture and for its diving, with both natural sites and wrecks from the Second World War.

Kavieng, the capital of the New Ireland province, has breathtaking scenery consisting of mountainous islands, which drop sharply into the sea, where coral islands are surrounded by beautiful beaches and fringing reefs. Aside from the wreck diving opportunities, divers may also encounter pelagics and nurseries amidst the lagoons and mangroves.
