This ecological research station is in the village of Yupukari, upstream from Karanambu on the Rupununi River. The accommodation is rustic with electricity and running water.

The small lodge features four simple en suite rooms to host researchers or visitors. As a guest you have the unique opportunity to support and participate in an ongoing field study of the black caiman, the largest member of the alligator family. Visitors can observe the capture from a separate boat, and assist in data collection as the caiman are weighed, measured and tagged.
