Set around a natural pan in Gorongosa National Park that attracts a rich tapestry of wildlife, this seasonal tented camp in Mozambique is immersed in one of Africa’s last truly wild frontiers.

Chicari Camp consists of ten thoughtfully designed canvas tents, including eight safari tents and two unique treehide tents. The tents provide spacious interiors with cosy beds, solar-powered lighting, and private en suite bathrooms, ensuring a comfortable retreat after a day of safari. The two tree hide tents are at the base of a wooden tree hide and share a spacious deck, making them an ideal choice for two couples or a family travelling together.

All tents offer wonderful views of the pan, and are connected by raised wooden walkways, creating a seamless flow through the camp while ensuring privacy and a close connection to nature. At its heart is a spacious shaded lounge, dining area and bar – a relaxed space to enjoy wholesome meals, a quiet read, or a drink while watching the wildlife drawn to the nearby pan.
