The lodge at El Dorado Nature Reserve offers comfortable rooms and individual huts with superb views of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, one of the world’s top birding destinations.
Rooms and huts have private facilities with showers, and free internet (when possible). Water, coffee, tea and fruit are all complimentary, and there are trails leading to the surrounding landscape, observation towers, terraces and seating areas from which to admire the stunning views and wildlife. There’s an eco-shop which is ideal for buying souvenirs that support local conservation work, and there’s also a bar.
