This waterfront lodge is located on the edge of Broughton Archipelago Marine Park on Berry Island, with 12 hectares of private forest to explore.
Berry Island Wilderness Lodge (formerly Farewell Harbour Lodge) features a lounge, dining room and bar, with large windows and decks which are perfect for watching the sunset from both inside and outside the lodge, whilst the fireplace is a welcome sight when returning from wildlife watching or boat excursions.
The main building houses eight, private ocean-side suites complete with a private bathroom, a gas fireplace and two beds. Part-floating lodge, there are also four waterfront suites further along the deck each with a private bathroom, a gas fireplace and two beds.
The natural cedar design combined with local materials and artwork gives this property a unique charm that is typical of the West Coast of Canada.
The lodge makes a perfect base for exploring the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. Excursions from the lodge include bear watching from zodiacs or on land, watching humpback whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Steller sea lions bald eagles and other sea birds between June & October, and orca watching on Johnstone strait between mid July to late September/early October. Sea kayaking, heli-hiking and rainforest walks can also be arranged with the lodge.
