Hotel Estancia El Ovejero provides a perfect base for exploring both Torres del Paine National Park and its neighbouring estancias, where puma watching is now a regular feature. El Ovejero is one of very few accommodations in the region to remain open throughout the winter months when most other hotels and guesthouses close. It's a 40-minute drive to the southern entrance of Torres del Paine National Park and some key puma watching sites. The village is around 3 and a half hours drive north of Punta Arenas and 45 minutes north of Punta Natales.
Accommodation is in simple but clean and comfortable guestrooms with private bathrooms and heating. The main building houses a relaxing lounge and bar area with typical Patagonian décor and artwork and the restaurant serves a various local dishes and a good selection of Chilean red wines.
