Once the former lodge of the British Governor dating back to the 1940s, Jaagir Manor is set within three hectares of woodland, within easy reach of a private gate to Dudhwa National Park.
A beautiful property that oozes charm and tranquillity and harks back to a bygone era of elegance and privilege, the lodge offers three luxury rooms and four luxury suites, with a further six villas within the grounds.
All of the rooms are furnished throughout with antique fittings and rich fabrics that generate a wonderful ambience and the feeling of understated opulence. They are all air conditioned and have tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini bar, electronic safes and custom-made extras like slippers and eye masks. The luxury suites also have private verandahs overlooking the surrounding landscapes and gardens.
The lodge has a small outdoor swimming pool, a library and lounge for relaxing and an 'entertainment' room where guests can watch television, play board games or listen to talks from the lodge's resident naturalists.
Jaagir Manor serves stunning food that is a mixture of traditional regional Indian and global cuisines. All meals feature vegetables and herbs sourced from the lodge's on-site organic garden. Guests can also enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson from the head chef to learn how to prepare the lodge's signature dishes themselves. Vegetarian and other more specific dietary requirements can easily be catered for.
