Located in a wildlife hotspot, with numerous local habitats to explore including its own private reserve, Rancho Camana is an ideal base for the Villavicencio area, with comfortable accommodation and delicious local cuisine.

Set within its own private nature reserve, Rancho Camana is a perfect base for exploring this diverse region of Colombia. The property was previously a cattle farm, but since being restored into a thriving nature reserve from 1993 it now supports a fantastic diversity of birdlife. The lodge gardens have been thoughtfully planted with flowering and fruiting trees, and feeders attract a colourful selection of charismatic birds each morning.

On-site there are eight simple, clean and comfortable ensuite rooms, complete with fans, Wi-Fi, and beautiful artwork of the local fauna.

The lodge restaurant serves delicious traditional Colombian home cooked food, and there are always cold drinks available to enjoy whilst watching the birds. A family of Brumback’s night monkeys also roost in the gardens, offering excellent opportunities to see this elusive endemic primate just before dusk.

The lodge is an ideal base for wildlife watching in the wider area, which features grassland plains, wetlands, and the nearby Proaves del Halcón Colorado Reserve offers an excellent range of forest birdlife.
