Hugo Romano

Passionate about the environment since a small boy, Hugo divides his time between birdwatching tours and technology development.

He has a vast and diverse knowledge of the natural world, science, history and politics, he has dedicated his career to nature interpretation both on land and at sea and has definitely pinned Madeira on the map of birdwatching destinations. In conjunction with his partner and co-leader Catarina, he has published several papers on the birds of Madeira and one on cetaceans - "The Birth of a Sperm whale".
