Jirayu Ekkul

Jirayu also known as “Tour” is a Thailand-based conservationist, tour leader and wildlife photographer.

He has an extensive knowledge of Thailand’s wildlife, particularly its mammals and birdlife and has travelled to many regions of the country in search of elusive wild residents. Jirayu also pioneered whale watching in the Gulf of Thailand, home to the rare Eden’s whale, where he worked with the BBC and National Geographic to help film their unique trap-feeding behaviour.

Jirayu’s passion for the wildlife of Thailand is matched by his joy in sharing these delights with visitors, and he has led many specialist wildlife tours across Thailand.
