Nicolas Olejnik

Nicolas has led wildlife tours since 2013, with a specialism for birding tours in the Argentine provinces of Misiones, Corrientes, Entre Rios, Formosa, Neuquen and Buenos Aires.

Birds are his greatest passion when travelling across Argentina, but he loves finding mammals, reptiles, amphibians and arthropods as well. His love for birds and arthropods led to the publishing of numerous scientific publications, including the discovery of several new species of spiders for the country, and the addition of new bird species to some Argentinian provinces.

Nicolas has also spent a memorable year living in the Atlantic rainforest of the Misiones province, guiding people from all over the world through this rich habitat. He has also worked at the Buenos Aires Museum of Natural History as a palaeontology lab technician, preparing dinosaur skeletons for study. Nicolas now lives in Junín de Los Andes in Northern Patagonia, and enjoys showing guests the many wonderful mammals, birds and other fauna , flora and history of this incredible region.

Beginning with southern Chile’s spectacular Torres del Paine National Park, we enjoy a few days puma watching. From here we travel to the north-east of Argentine Patagonia, to Valdes Peninsula to see orca hunt the young sea lions along the beach in a unique and captivating strategy.
