Located in the Pieniny Mountains a couple of hours’ drive from Krakow, the Pensjonat Spiski is a comfortable wood-clad guesthouse situated in a picturesque forested valley not far from the Slovakian border.
Pensjonat Spiksi is ideally situated for an exploration of the Pieniny Mountains. It’s within easy reach of medieval castles and impressive limestone rock formations and surrounded by the forested slopes of the Pieniny range, close to the Slovak border.
At dusk, wildlife walks from the guesthouse are rewarding, with pygmy, tawny, Ural and even Tengmalm’s owls all possible, while mammals such as beaver, lynx, wild boar and red deer all live in the area around Pensjonat Spiski.
By day, the Carpathian beech forests reveal a host of special birds including nutcracker and firecrest, while in the Alpine meadows there are raptors such as golden eagle and red-footed falcon.
