Safari Slowly & Reconnect with Nature

A wildlife holiday in one of the world’s finest wildernesses where you can relax and reconnect with nature once again is surely the perfect tonic to the comings and goings of everyday life.

There is nothing better than a comfortable lodge stay in the middle of the wilderness to relax, unwind, take things slowly and just enjoy the wildlife and environment.

Some of us have been yearning to venture back to the great plains and savannah of East and Southern Africa, home to the first true safari. From the wildlife haven of the Okavango Delta to the remote and awe-inspiring landscapes of Namibia, there is no end of places to reconnect with nature on the African continent.

Alternatively, some may wish to stay closer to home. If there is one benefit from the lockdowns and the travel restrictions, it has been rediscovering the wonders of our native wildlife. There are few better places for truly experiencing the wildlife of Britain than in the Scottish Highlands or on the Isle of Mull against a stunning backdrop of rugged and weathered scenery.

Whether it is bear and whale watching in British Columbia, from a lodge situated in the heart of the Broughton Archipelago on our Safari Slowly on Canada's West Coast trip, or joining us on one of our famous tours to Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka, India, in search of the enigmatic black panther as part of a small group, there is somewhere to suit everyone.

Wherever you choose to gather your thoughts, move on from difficulties and revive your passion for the natural world, it will be a moment that lives long in the memory as you remember just how good it feels to be travelling again and encountering all of those remarkable species that you come across.

It feels like it has been forever, but the time to head out on safari once again is coming. On this occasion though we will all safari slower, taking more time to appreciate where we are, what we have come through, immerse ourselves in the natural environment and revel in the wildlife that we encounter because we will finally be back where we truly want to be!
