Wildlife of Scoresby Sund
Despite its remote location and harsh climate, this pristine ecosystem teems with life. Musk oxen can be seen here, while mysterious Arctic foxes dart amongst the rocks. Above, the skies are alive with the graceful flight of seabirds, including fulmars, kittiwakes, and even the majestic ivory gull. In the water, it's possible to see harp, ringed, and hooded seals, plus humpback and fin whale. Polar bear and narwhal are both rare in this area, but can also be sighted.
