Explore the sun-kissed shores and rugged summits of the Inner Hebrides. During your time here, the plan is to visit the tiny island of Iona, the remote Isle of Eigg, and the ruggedly beautiful Isle of Skye. When visiting the Isle of Skye, enjoy a short hike for spectacular views.

Outer Hebrides & Orkney Islands
Your next stop is the isolated archipelago and World Heritage Site of St Kilda, home to Europe’s most important seabird colony and Britain’s highest rock columns. On the Isle of Lewis, visit Callanais, where archaeology buffs will be keen to see the fascinating group of Standing Stones, dating from around 3,000 BCE.
A rich tapestry of archaeology, history and wildlife awaits on the Orkney Islands. Follow the passage of time—from 5,000-year-old World Heritage Neolithic sites, past relics from Vikings and reminders of World War II occupation—to present day crofting communities. Imposing sea cliffs teem with seabirds and cliff top paths beckon keen hikers.

Shetland Islands
The Shetland Islands abound with nature reserves and archaeological treasures, and provide a glimpse into traditional island life. There are numerous fascinating spots to explore here, including Jarlshof, Mousa Broch, Fair Isle, Papa Stour, Foula and Kirkwall.
Wildlife opportunities include a large colony of common and grey seals on Mousa Island, while the impressive cliffs on Fair Isle are alive with breeding fulmars, kittiwakes, guillemots, gannets, and shags. There are exceptional opportunities to observe puffins here too. Other highlights include otter, harbour porpoise, white-beaked dolphin and Atlantic white-sided dolphin, and orca and minke whale have also been seen in this region.
