Safari Group Tours

We're the leading tour operator in the UK specialising in small safari group tours to Africa. Our trips bring you face-to-face with the continent’s most remarkable wildlife.

We've been creating safari group trips for over 30 years, covering East Africa and Southern Africa, and focusing on numerous sought-after species in some of the world’s finest national parks and private reserves to create amazing memories for our clients. There are numerous benefits to choosing this type of African safari, but for us, it’s the opportunity to travel with like-minded people on a dedicated wildlife safari that provides an unrivalled wildlife experience. We keep our group sizes small to offer you the best experience, and it often provides an excellent chance to make new friends with other travellers.

Here we give you a guide to our safari group holidays and the various options, ranging from vehicle, river, foot and air; and some of the countries we currently specialise in.

Botswana

Botswana is the perfect choice for a range of different safaris and is one of our most popular wildlife destinations. Here you’ll find the world’s largest inland river delta, the Okavango Delta, as well as vast salt flats and semi-arid landscapes. The varied habitats provide the perfect refuge for a range of lesser-seen species, along with more iconic wildlife associated with a safari holiday.

Our most popular tour is Best of Botswana - a mobile camping safari which covers the top wildlife sites and offers great value for money. The Birds and Mammals of Botswana offers an intimate tour that takes you on game drives to the well-known Okavango Delta to discover the spectacular diversity of birds, as well as some of the most beautiful mammals. If you’re more interested in unusual animals, Botswana’s Rare Mammals gives you the opportunity to see species such as aardvark, brown hyena, aardwolf, meerkat and many more.

Kenya

When most people think of a safari, the wide open plains of Masai Mara of Kenya often spring to mind, but there is so much more to this beautiful country. We have designed a fantastic range of group tours which focus on Kenya’s wonderful national parks and reserves.

Kenya’s Birds & Wildlife is the perfect introduction to the country, visiting Mount Kenya, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara, while wildlife photographers could join our Masai Mara Photo Safari, led by team member Bret Charman, or Kenya's Rift Valley Wildlife Photography with Sean Weekly.

Namibia

Stunning landscapes and amazing wildlife make Namibia one of our favourite safari destinations. In fact, Director Nick Joynes visits every year to lead our A Living Desert small group tour, the ultimate Namibian safari. On this luxury trip you’ll get to stay in unique accommodation, enjoy flights over the spectacular Namibian landscapes in a private light aircraft, and of course encounter the diverse wildlife up close.

If you have a passion for photography, our Wonder of Namibia: A Photographic Safari group tour might be for you. Whether you're eager to photograph the magnificence of the larger mammals or you’re keen to capture the delicacy of the smaller ones, this wonderful trip to the Etosha National Park has it all. Find out more about our collection of group safaris in Namibia.

South Africa

One of the world’s most beautiful countries, South Africa is probably best known for Kruger National Park. Our small group safaris in South Africa include a safari to support a unique conservation project, and experience a vast range of a newly created private Big-5 game reserve on our Kalahari Conservation Experience. Our own tour leader Helen Bryon will share her invaluable knowledge of the South African ecosystem, and participation in conservation-based ecological activities will provide you with hands-on experience in this Kalahari reserve.

Or you may wish to experience luxury travel, in which case South Africa’s Rare Mammals in Style could be perfect for you. Enjoy wildlife sightings of some of the country's seldom-seen mammals, including aardvark and pangolin, alongside more iconic African wildlife. These are just two of our safari trips, each offering very different itineraries, but unrivalled wildlife encounters.

Tanzania

Experience the great wildebeest migration, when millions of white-bearded wildebeest journey around the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania (and Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve) in search of food, creating what is arguably the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth. You can join our dedicated Serengeti Migration Special group tour, or choose from our diverse selection of safaris in Tanzania.

Uganda

Known as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda is a tropical paradise filled with remarkable landscapes. It's also the site of one of the world’s most intimate wildlife encounters: trekking to see the mountain gorillas. Our Uganda’s Unforgettable Wildlife group safari focuses on the most iconic species, while our Uganda Wildlife Photo Safari caters for the photographers and visits Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kibale and Bwindi.

Zambia

Where it all began for Wildlife Worldwide, Zambia has been at the core of our business for over 30 years. Arguably the country’s best known park, South Luangwa National Park, is famed for its obliging leopards.

We offer two excellent tours here: Classic South Luangwa Safari and a dedicated photography tour called South Luangwa Photo Safari. If you're looking for something a little different, then we highly recommend our Kafue & Lower Zambezi Photo trip. We also offer many other safaris in Zambia.

Zimbabwe

Despite years of uncertainty around the country, Zimbabwe offers unforgettable safari holidays. Join award-winning wildlife photographer Bret Charman on our Wild Dogs and Elephants Photography tour. Stay at the Vundu Camp to get up close and personal with wild dogs on walking tours in Mana Pools National Park, appreciate the magnificence of bull elephants through the lens of your cameras and visit the thundering Victoria Falls.
